What is a story carrier?

I am a story carrier. That’s different from being a storyteller, because it focuses on the important relationship between the story and the person who brings it to life on the page. Story carriers know we are born into stories, and we work at the mercy of tales that reside in the universe, waiting to be told through us. We understand that we are not always in control of the story, and, in some instances, we have to move out of the way, allowing space for the story to unfold on its own.
